To know Boulder, Colorado is to know the Flatirons. Rising up 1,400 feet from the ground, they hang over the city like a giant protector. And while they’re beautiful for us to stare up at (and occasionally climb), they’re also home to a wide variety of animal life, like coyote, fox, bears, deer, elk, and mountain lions, who live on the land surrounding these iconic rock slants.
